A REAL TESTIMONIAL:

Just thought you would get a kick out of what happened with the Tommy display.  Yes… I’ve been busy so this is the first display I’ve been able to install.

Installation went without a hitch, and looks awesome.  Makes the machine so much more playable as you can actually see what the display is presenting.  Not to mention the video mode.

But the crackup….   For almost all of my 20 year relationship with this machine (sold it to a friend for whom I then had to provide service) it has had a glitch I couldn’t fix.  Not sure what caused it, but some sound bites would come out at the wrong times.  Also the background music would play over the announcements, and the sound was just not clear.  I reseated everything, and cleaned contacts and all I could think of. No change.

Whatever it was…. The Pin2DMD display cured the problem!   Sound is now super clear and rich.  And the right clip or track plays when it should.   Really improves the game so so much.  Amazing!

I’m guessing the old out-gassed display was drawing too much current and was pulling voltages down… which made the sound control board wonky.

Anyway….  Thanks!  Not sure you can add that to your ‘features’ page, but I’ll take it!

Regards,

Dan
